If you want to know the underlying attitudes and philosophy of the Contemporary Christian Music Movement (CCM), this is an excellent book to read. 

Dan's theology of music could be stronger, but he knows enough to know the biblical problems CCM has and rightly left CCM.

I found the book extremely helpful to read before having discussions with people from CCM who wanted to bring their music into our church.
